Inclusive & Adaptive Jiu-Jitsu
Inclusive and Adaptive Jiu-Jitsu (Parajiu-Jitsu) at our Boca Raton academy welcomes practitioners with physical, sensory or intellectual disabilities. Techniques and training dynamics are adapted to each student to foster autonomy, self-esteem, motor development and a true sense of belonging.
We believe Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone. Every student arrives with different needs, so we start by listening: what do you or your child enjoy, what is challenging and what would make training comfortable? From there instructors adjust the class, the pace and the way techniques are taught.
Our facility is fully accessible, and families are welcome to stay and watch. Please contact us before your first visit so we can prepare and match you with the right class and instructor.
What inclusion looks like here
-
Self-esteem
Achievements that are celebrated, at every level.
-
Motor development
Movement and coordination in a structured setting.
-
Belonging
Training alongside a welcoming community.
-
Autonomy
Clear routines that build independence step by step.
How we adapt the class
Every plan starts with the student.
- A first conversation about goals and needs
- Techniques adapted to each body and ability
- Clear, patient communication and visual cues
- Progress celebrated at every step
Support that fits the student
Every plan starts from the student's needs. Share relevant medical information, communication preferences and triggers to avoid, and we will adapt the environment and drills. Caregivers are welcome to stay in the academy during class.
